Papa's Bible Stories
The “Papa’s Bible Stories” podcast brings the Bible to life for your kids. For each episode, I pick a Bible story to talk to my kids about. The stories are entirely Bible-based, scripture is quoted at every opportunity, and the kids are always pointed to the Bible as the authority. And we are not afraid to have a little fun too! It is my prayer that your kids will be excited to explore God’s Word for themselves after hearing an episode of Papa’s Bible Stories. #bible #stories #kids #children #adventist #sda

Ep. 91 - David Spares Saul
📖 1 Samuel 23:1-24:22. David won’t touch the Lord’s anointed. Last time, Saul’s jealousy had reached a terrible new level when he ordered the priests of Nob to be killed. While Saul was attacking his own people, David was doing the opposite—protecting them. When the Philistines attacked the Israelite town of Keilah, David asked God what he should do. God told him to go, and David and his men defeated the Philistines and saved the city. But Saul soon heard where David was and came after him wi

Ep. 90 – Saul Kills the Priests
📖 1 Samuel 22:1-23. David’s lies catch up with him. After escaping from Gath, David returns to Israel and hides in the cave of Adullam, near the Valley of Elah. There, David feels surrounded by danger, but he begins learning to depend on God instead of making his own plans. Ep. 89 - David and the Holy Bread
📖 1 Samuel 21:1-15; Psalm 34. It’s David’s turn to be paranoid! David is officially on the run. His first stop is Nob, where Ahimelech the high priest gives him some of the holy showbread and, of all things, the sword of Goliath. But David is scared. Instead of trusting God to lead him, he starts making decisions based on fear. He lies to Ahimelech about being on a secret mission f

Ep. 88 – David & Jonathan
📖 1 Samuel 20:1-42. David and Jonathan both realize that Saul will never change. Last time, David escaped from Saul and fled to Samuel at Naioth in Ramah. Saul sent men after him, but each group was overcome by the Spirit of God and began prophesying. Finally, Saul went himself—and the same thing happened to him! Jonathan was convinced that such an experience must have changed his father. But David wasn’t so sure. Saul had seemed to change before, only for his jealousy and rage to return. So Dav

Ep. 87 - David a Fugitive
📖 1 Samuel 19:1-24. Saul takes the gloves off. Saul is no longer hiding his hatred for David. What began as secret plotting now turns into open attempts on David’s life. Jonathan tries to make peace between his father and his best friend, and for a little while, it seems to work. But when David wins another great victory over the Philistines, Saul’s jealousy flares up again, and David is forced to run for his life. With Michal’s help, David escapes through a window in the night, while a clever p
